Bartender Tools & Bar Layout

It goes without saying that you should be familiar with all the bartender tools and the bar layout if you’re going to work in one.

Setting up a bar properly and having all the tools you need to perform your job as a bartender will be part of your daily routine.

It’s important to remember that no matter where you work or how much experience you have (or don’t have), you will always go through about 4-7 training shifts before you will work by yourself. During these training shifts they will train you on where everything is kept, how to open and stock, close and clean, how the computer works, your daily routines, and on and on…

So don’t feel like you’re supposed to know where everything is and how every bar works because every establishment is different, similar but definitely different.
