Bloody Mary Drink Recipe

The Bloody Mary is without a doubt one of the most common Saturday and Sunday day shift cocktails…aka, the “I’m hungover and need another drink so I don’t feel like sh*t anymore” drink.

What you may not know is there are other “bloody” drinks in the family, including Ceasar and Maria. Get these down to offer your regular Bloody Mary drinkers something different and get some added cool points with your customers.

Oh, and a heads up, a lot of times you’ll rim the glass with salt or a peppered/spiced mix. Ask your bar manager or fellow bartenders what the house norm is…meaning served by default with or without a salted/pepperded/spiceded rim.

  • Optional: Rim glass with salt/spice mix
  • Tall glass, full of ice.
  • 1½ oz Vodka.
  • Fill with Bloody Mary mix/tomato juice.
  • Optional: Spice to preference (horse radish, tabasco, etc.).
  • Optional: Dash of Worcestershire sauce (horse radish, tabasco, etc.).
  • Pinch/dash of pepper/pepper mix on top.
  • Garnish: vegetable (celery, olives, peppers, etc), lime.
