Old Fashioned Drink Recipe

The Old Fashioned used to be so popular in bartending that the short tumbler “bucket” glass it is made in can sometimes be called an “Old Fashioned” glass.

Not one of my favorites as its a little bit of a pain in the butt to make; it’s still very important for any competent bartender to know how to mash one up…

  • Bucket glass.
  • Muddle orange wedge, cherry.
  • 2-3 dashes of bitters.
  • ¼ oz. simple syrup.
  • 1½ oz Whiskey or Bourbon.
  • Fill with soda water.
